I hear other small business owners sometimes say, “I can get 3x more done than my employees.”
“Founders always work harder than hired staff.” I always find this a bit surprising because it’s making some big assumptions.
If I’m getting 3x more done than my staff, it means that a) the process is not clear and/or b) expectations haven’t been clear or c) there is a better way to do this task on a systems level.
Generally, my staff work just as hard as me and in some areas they are actually much better at their jobs than I could be.
Writing out our standard operating procedures as a team and delegating tasks based on these procedures has been life changing for our business.
