Community Donations

When we opened our shop in early February 2017, we could not have imagined the outpouring of support we would receive from the community. Sarjesa inc. is committed to supporting impactful violence prevention programming for vulnerable women. Donations generated from our initial  blends of tea support the Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society, an organization “dedicated to supporting the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing and wellbeing of women during their time of crisis and beyond.”

So far, we have been able to donate over $2000 to this amazing community partner.

Land Acknowledgement

Sarjesa Inc. acknowledges its position on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Nations, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai. We also recognize the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Metis Nation (Region 3). As a team, we feel privileged and honoured to call the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta home. We acknowledge the fraught histories of this land, and are committed to standing in respectful solidarity with Indigenous Nations.

what we do...

In Canada, violence towards women is a large and growing issue. With so many missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada, we are tired of waiting for the system to change. Together, we as Canadians, have the ability to affect change through our everyday actions and purchases. $2.00 from each box of tea will be donated to local shelters, supporting women in crisis.
