Let me tell you a little bit more about one of the Canadian farms we work with. Blueberries have been growing in Canada for over 10,000 years, carpeting the ground and scenting the air.
What makes Wild Blueberries special? Well, they don't like to be farmed in the same way for starters. They grow from rhizomes, long underground roots extending and running across fields. In one field you can have thousands of distinct varieties of blueberries growing, impacting color, size, taste, and texture of the berry.
I've been geeking out watching different videos about picking, raking, and machine harvesting. Holy moly, there is so much to learn!
